Penhook?..Flora Creasy Woody, age 94 of 2349 Columbus Road, Penhook died Saturday, October 29, 2016 at her residence. Born June 19, 1922 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late, Fred L. Creasy and Lola Cook Creasy. She was twice married first to the late, Richard Holley and then to the late J.D. Woody. Mrs. Woody was also predeceased by a son, Weldon Holley, a sister Lucy Wright and four brothers, Gordon Creasy, Leo Creasy, Walter Creasy and Maurice Creasy. She was a member of Museville Christian Church and the Christian Women?s Association. She was a home maker who enjoyed taking care of her family, doing for others, quilting and gardening. She is survived by two sons, Tommy Holley and wife, Alice of Gretna and Joe Woody and wife, Carolyn of Gretna; one daughter, Becky Jefferson and husband, Luke of Penhook; one sister, Gladys Gregory of Chatham; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 31, 2016 at Museville Christian Church by Conley Stephenson, Minister and Ted Clifton, Minister. Burial will follow in the Jefferson Family Cemetery, Penhook. The family will receive friends at the residence.
