Name |
William of Pittsylvania Nealey/Neeley |
- William Nealey died in Pittsylvania Co., Va in 1788; he was a resident of Pittsylvania Co. from as early as 1766. John Nealey of Augusta, Robert Nealey is also found in Pittsylvania County; deeds of Pittsylvania prove these men are related. James Neally and John Neally are found as 1st settlers of Roanoke County and said to have founded it. Robert is named by genealogists as 'the Founder'. This then proves the Augusta Neallys are related to the Roanoke and Pittsylvania Nealeys.
