THE HENRY BULLETIN, Martinsville, Va., Fri., June 24, 1927, p. 1, col. 7 [edited]: ONE OF LAST OF BROTHERS FAMOUS IN TOBACCO IS LAID TO REST. Harden H. Reynolds of Critz (Patrick County), 74, one of the last brothers of the famous tobacco family, passed away Tuesday night in a Baltimore hospital. Mr. Reynolds, well know of course in Patrick and Henry counties, was a brother of R. J. Reynolds, founder of the tobacco company which bears his name today in Winston-Salem. At his beside was a brother, Will Reynolds of Winston-Salem, a prominent figure in the tobacco world. Mr. Reynolds is survived by his widow and two children. He was buried Wednesday in the family burial lot where lie his father and also his grandfather, who died in 1836. Born and raised in Critz, the Reynolds brothers have been neighborhood philanthropists. A fine school house and auditorium stands today at Critz as a memorial to their father. Many Winston-Salem leaders in tobacco manufacturing were present at the funeral services conducted briefly from the home and at the grave. [Ref. O. E.
