This Document is a Receipt to a Teacher named J. C. DEVIN for Tuition for STANFIELD'S Three Children, SUSANNAH, ROBERT, And PATTIE, for Instruction in English, Arithmetic, Latin, Primary, Incidentals, in 1861 / 1862, and FOR 40 POUNDS OF SALT, at 60 Cents a Lb.!! A Year's Education for 3 Children Cost $63.50, and 40 lbs of Salt Cost $24.00!!! The Receipt measures about 6" by 7 1/4" and is in good condition.
