    Lemma Reynolds Davis, 99, of 224 Easter Drive, Danville, Va., died on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at Sovah Health, Danville. She was born on March 10, 1918, in Pittsylvania County, Va. to the late Ella Jackson Reynolds and the late Linwood Reynolds. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William H. "Buck" Davis, Sr. Mrs. Davis enjoyed her life as a homemaker. She was a humble and faithful servant of the Lord, with such a sweet spirit, angelic personality, and beautiful smile. Mrs. Davis was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Danville. Mrs. Davis is survived by her daughter, Sandra D. Short and husband, Bobby of Dry Fork, Va.; her sons, William H. Davis, Jr. of North Carolina, and Steven L. Davis, of Danville; her sister, Hazel Gregory of Danville; as well as eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Davis was predeceased by her sisters, Rebecca Adkerson, Frances Hudson, Mary Flanagan, Bessie Crane, and Ruby Hutson; and her brothers, Doug Reynolds, Thurman Reynolds, Jerry Reynolds, Beverly Reynolds, Linwood Reynolds, Beacham Reynolds, and Dale Reynolds. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2017, at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, with the Rev. Mike Hearp and the Rev. Myron Bruce officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2017, at the funeral home prior to the service, and at other times at the residence of her daughter, Sandra Short. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to the Mt.     Hazel Reynolds Gregory of Danville, Virginia, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021, at the age of 90. She was born on February 23, 1931, to the late Ella Jackson Reynolds and the late Linwood Oscar Reynolds in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. She was predeceased by her husband Buford Spencer Gregory. Hazel was a member of the Church of Truth and worked at Dan River Mills and Health Tex for ten years. She is survived by her daughter, Betty G. Major of Danville, Virginia; her daughter-in-law, Elaine Gregory of Ridgeway, Virginia; her son, Tommy Gregory of Danville, Virginia; and her granddaughter, Monica Major. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Neal Gregory, six sisters, seven brothers, and her great-granddaughter, Jasmine Major Gibson. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Highland Burial Park with the Reverend Mike Hearp officiating. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Lois Gene Reynolds and Mae Frances Reynolds Barber; brothers, Beverley Reynolds, Linwood Reynolds, Jr., Dewey Reynolds and Beachman Reynolds; sisters, Bessie Reynolds Crane, Frances Reynolds Hutson, Mary Reynolds Flannigan and Ruby Reynolds Hutson; daughter-in-law, Robin Warf Reynolds.

    He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Pauline Oliver Reynolds of the home; son, James Thurman Reynolds "J.T."; daughters, Kathy Reynolds Booth, Mary Reynolds Gearhart and husband, Harold, Shelia Reynolds Nance and husband, Byron; grandchildren, Michelle Marsh Troxler, Keith Benfield, Shannon Porterfield Chilton, Joshua Gearhart, Amanda Gearhart Lester, Rodney Hall, Michael Patterson, Scottie Hall, Tammy Barber, Jessica Nance, Hannah Nance, Russell Reynolds, Patience Reynolds, Matthew Reynolds, and two step-grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brothers, Douglas Reynolds, Sr. and Jermone "Jerry" Reynolds; sisters, Lemma Reynolds Davis, Rebecca Reynolds Adkerson, and Hazel Reynolds Gregory.

    The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 24 from 7:00 ? 9:00 PM. Other times the family will be at the home of daughter, Shelia Nance, 1459 Flatrock Road, Reidsville.
