Generation: 1

  1. 1.  Matilda Reynolds was born 1804, Pittsylvania County, Virginia; died Yes, date unknown.

    Notes:

Hiram Collins married Matilda Reynolds, d/o Joseph and Nancy Ford Reynolds; Matilda is thought to have died in the first year or two of their marriage. Hiram remarried Lucy ? and by the 1860 Census he is 59 years old with several children Lewis, Margaret, Judson, Brico, Christian and Victoria age 1; Victoria has to be one of the children's child. Hiram wouldn't be having children with 54 year old Lucy.

    Name:
1830 VA Pittsylvania Co., Census shows Kesiah Collins, two hh from Joseph Reynolds, Jr. Kesiah is related to Hiram Collins who married Matilda Reynolds, in some way. She is alone, so very young, or very old. If I had to guess, I would say she is the eldest d/o Hiram and Matilda, [he remarries later to Nancy Adkins and has another family]

Matilda married Hiram Collins 21 Feb 1820, Pittsylvania Co., Virginia. Hiram was born 1801, Pittsylvania County, Virginia; died Yes, date unknown. [Group Sheet]
