He was associated with Dion?s Quick Mart, Summerland Key, and was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge 1585, Big Pine Key. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Patricia Louise of Little Torch Key; sons LaRue D. and Michael D., both of Marathon; daughters Vonne S. Costenbader of Fort Lauderdale and Laurel Knapp of Delray Beach; and two grandchildren. Private funeral services were held with the family May 28, on Little Torch Key.
