In the 1870 Census Susan Woodie, 24, F, W. Keeping House; If Susan Green Woodie is shown as 24 in 1870, she was born in 1846; not 36. [or she is 32 and the Census has been misread] She is married to Charles Betts Woody and has a son, she has named James, who is 9 years old. All of these Woodies shown on this census are probably misnamed and are Paul Green's Children, except James who I believe is the son of Susan and Charles Woody, except she would have been 14 when she had this child. Not impossible, but not likely.
Susan married Charles Betts Woody 18 Dec 1858, Person Co., North Carolina. Charles (son of John Woody and Nancy Betts) was born 17 May 1828, Halifax County, Virginia; died 17 Apr 1862, Halifax Co., Virginia. [Group Sheet]
