    Chancery Court Case 1857-001 William F. Scott (1814-167) was the son of Samuel Scott and Elizabeth Biggers/Biggars AND the grandson of Revolutionary War veteran William F. Scott and Mary Baker.

    In an 1832 application for a pension for his service during the Revolutionary War, William F. Scott stated that he was born on the 3rd of December 1757 in Ireland. Supporting evidence and place of birth; the family Bible in his possession.

    In 1850, William F. Scott (1814-1867) household included Mary Meadows born in 1776. A recorded visitor to this household was Mary Meadows' niece, Mary J. Meadows Tatum. Mary J. was the daughter of Austin and Mary Meadows. Austin and Mary) were a member of Briery Church and the children of James Meadows.

    Footnote: Samuel Scott and Elizabeth Biggers had three children: William F. Scott 1814-1867 (children via Betsy Lyle source: Will), Samuel J. Scott (b, abt 1818) who married Frances J. Watson (daughter of Jesse Watson and Mary Meredith) and Louisa Henry Scott (1811-1831) who married James Whitehead (John Whitehead II and Martha "Patty" Baker).
