He then moved to Lawrence County, Alabama, where he resided until 1827, when he moved to Rockingham County, NC. near his childhood home. Two children, Elizabeth and Martha died in childhood. Pryor lived near the town of Draper, where he died 5 Oct 1858. He was buried in the family graveyard, alongside his wife Prudence. Pryor's name is (Catherine Pryor) his grandmother's maiden name.

Two children, Elizabeth and Martha died in childhood. Pryor Reynolds passed the remainder of his days at his home near the town of Draper, where he died Oct. 5, 1858.
