NOEL EDWARD KENDRICK
Mr. Noel Edward Kendrick, age 94, formerly of Callands, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Chatham Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on August 24, 1919, in Pittsylvania County, the son of the late William Thomas Kendrick and the late Mary Mays Kendrick. He is survived by his sister, Louise K. Hankins of Martinsville.
Mr. Kendrick lived life to the fullest. He was very active and enjoyed fishing, working in his garden, and being outdoors. He had a great sense of humor and believed "that man always had room for strawberry ice cream." He will truly be missed by all his family and friends. The family would like to say a special thank you to the wonderful care-givers at Chatham Health and Rehab.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Nannie Reynolds, Mamie Oakes, and Maebird Rigney; and two brothers, Jimmy Kendrick and William Kendrick.
Funeral services will be conducted at County Line Christian Church on Thursday, March 13, 2014.
