Documentation for The Philpotts of Charles Co., Maryland used for membership to Colonial Dames [S160] Correspondence. In checking, I find that my Philpott connection is through Cassandra Philpott, the daughter of Charles Thomas Philpott. She married Henry Clark. They had Purvania Clark, who married Jeremiah M. Smith. Jeremiah and Purvania had Cassandra Margaret Smith, who married Alexander Carrico in 1864 in Carlinville, Macoupin, Illinois. Alexander and Cassandra had Laura Ann Carrico who married George Leon White, my mother's father. Gladys Helen White, my mom, married Jesse S. Sissom and had me. Cassandra Philpott is a sister to Sarah Philpott. I do have a different surname for Sarah's mother. I show Charles Thomas Philpott as marrying Elizabeth Hubbard, 24 Nov 1794 in Louden County, Virginia. I have the Garrett name in a second marriage. I made a rough calculation and it seems we may be fifth cousins. Sorry this reply took so long, but I don't do much in the Winter. I did have John Devin Reynolds in my database.
