      William Addison8 Wells (Matthew Clay7, Joseph6, Matthew5, John4, Barnaby3, John2, Barnaby1) was born 1862 in Pittsylvania Co., Virginia, and died April 22, 1899 in Pittsylvania Co., Virginia. He married Lelia Ella Stowe August 28, 1892 in Pittsylvania Co., Virginia. She was born June 03, 1868, and died July 01, 1930.

      Death: Jan. 4, 1954, Pittsylvania Co., Va.

      Miss Mattie James Wells, 58, went to be with her Lord while sleeping. She had been living with her sister in law Mrs. Joel E Wells of Dry Fork, VA for some time. She had been in declining health for 15 years, but was able to be up and around the house yesterday. She was the daughter of the late William Addison Wells and Lelia Stowe Wells. She had lived most of her life in the Dry Fork Community and for a short time in Danville, VA. She was a member of the North Main Pentecostal Holiness Church in Danville. She is survived by one sister Mrs. Mary Davis of Glenwood, VA, two nieces and five nephews. Funeral services were held at the Dry Folk Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Reverend E T Hoyle, Reverend F A Dail and the Reverend Dewey Yeatts officiating. Burial was in the Davis - Wells Family Cemetery in Dry Fork.
