  Died 11:00 p.m. on Labor Day. The following information is also recorded for James. Property: A farm at 57 East, Rd. 979, Axton, Va on 20 March 1902, aged 44, in that he bought from James & Elizabeth Barker. James married twice. He was married to Aneliza Price and Minnie Boon Gregory.

  [S107] Family Histories. Family History by Sandra Bently Reynolds; may be seen at Bassett Historical Center [S150] Photograph. This is a painting done by Wilbur of the house that mother grew up in. Grandpa Ned Slaydon's place located on what is now Breckenridge Circle. The board siding on the house was put on over logs. When the place was sold, the house was sold by the new owner of the farm and it was taken apart and moved. Mother's mother, Aneliza, died about 2 years after they move here. Mother was about 13 and grandpa married Aneliza's cousin Minnie Gregory about 2 years later. Grandpa had 21 children by both wives. We called her cousin Minnie and so did Mother.
