  Powell Warren (son of Nathaniel Warren and Lewsey Powell), born 1789 in Halifax Co., Virginia, and died 18 Nov 1859 in Laurel Co., KY, USA. He married Mary Polly Newman on 26 Jul 1814 in Person Co., North Carolina Halifax Co., Virginia Book 16 page 181 Dated 26 April 1794 - Nathanial Warren bought 100 acres from James and Robert Holt on Holt Mill Creek Bounded by William Stanfield, James Warren, Isaac Smith - Signed by Charles Powell Jr. his mark Note: This has to be our Charles Powell Jr. in Halifax County in 1794. He could have stayed with his brother Anthony, but it seems more likely he went to Kentucky with his father and returned to visit and perhaps procure supplies. In 1823 a Powell Warren (surely Lucy's son) is buying land in Halifax.
