      Wife was Arvazena S Dyche b-1819 d-1847 in Mississippi. Charles & Arvanzena were married on June 2, 1835. Charles was appointed postmaster of the first post office in Aberdeen, MS on April 3, 1836. Stockholders of the town of New Aberdeen and their wives gave a deed in trust to Charles W Walton as sole trustee to lay out and sell lots in this town on June 15, 1836. In 1836 the population of town grew to 500.
