He was the son of Peter Rucker (1661 Ger.-1743 Va.) & Elizabeth Fielding Rucker (1660 Eng.-1752 Va.). He arrived in Virginia Colony in 1702 with his parents and approx 8 of his sibblings. John & Susanna Rucker were members of the Saint Mark's Parish Church and were the parents of 12 children. Their children were: Peter, Phoebe, Margaret, Winiford, Mildred, Rueben, Ambrose, John Jr., Isaac, Anthony, Benjamin & Sarah. There is a discrepancy for some of their birth dates.
