      Lucy Love Wells Clark, 77, of 4000 Chatham Road,
      Martinsville, died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011, at her home. She was born Feb. 8, 1934, in Henry County to O.B. Wells and Mary Finney Wells. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Dove; and two brothers, Thomas Wells Sr. and Bernard Wells. She retired from the office of the Commissioner of Revenue of Henry County, where she worked for 55 years. Mrs. Clark was a member of Chatham Heights Christian Church and played the piano. Surviving are her husband, Clifton M. Clark of the home; two daughters, Kathy Clark Stephens of Martinsville and Marsha Clark Neely of Axton; a sister, Christine Kirks of Bassett; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and
      several nieces and nephews. Burial will be at the County Line Christian Church cemetery in Axton.
