      amuel Britton Dunn was the son of James and Martha Dunn. He married Catherine Ann Martin on Dec. 16, 1874 in Henry County, Virginia. Samuel enlisted as a Confederate soldier in the Thirty-eighth Infantry (Pittsylvania Regiment).
      "Virginia, Deaths and Burials Index, 1853-1917" lists his death as Oct. 25, 1888 but "Confederate Pensions, 1884-1958" says he died on Nov. 3, 1888.
