His son: Sir Edmund Jennings of Ripon, married Margaret Burkham, the daughter of Edward Burkham, Lord Mayor of London 1621-22.

Edmund Jennings came to America at an early age and was Attorney General of Virginia 1680-92, Member of the Kings Council 1701-1727, Secretary of State 1704-706 & 1720-1722, Acting Governor June 1706-Aug. 23, 1710.
