    Notes:

    The Methodist Protestant Church at Whitehouse was organized in 1841, the members then being Mr. and Mrs. George Almond, Rev. .lolin Foster, Mrs. Eldridge;, Mrs. Franklin, Mrs. Wlson, Mrs. Huffman, Mr. and Mrs. O. H. Noble. The first (Quarterly Conference was held at Stony Ridge, near Whitehouse, 24 Nov 1849, of which John B. Peat was Chairman, and P. B. Scott Secretary. Among the early members were Luke and Wm. Tipton, John Jones, Elisha Trowbridge, Nelson Coulson, John Officer, Alonzo Crosby, Matthew Cowling, Thos. Beney, P. B. Scott, David Lucas and Daniel Hubbell. The first Preachers and Ministers in charge were John B. Peat, Wm. Tipton, John Jones, Klisha Trowbridge, R. H. Davis, J. N. Kidd, S. B. Abbott, M. S. REYNOLDS, S. Elliott, B. F. Tucker, C. F. Bradley, Rufus A. Washburn, G. Scott. In 1872 the Society erected a house of worship, at a cost of $1,800.

    Worthington's Death Certificate list James Reynolds as his father and Jane Page as his mother; the informant is daughter Hattie McDonald, daughter of Worthington Blackborn REYNOLDS and Alzina Almira Martindale.

    Although Maurice Randals is not mentioned in the will of his father, [Amos Reynolds], and the spelling of his name is slightly different, along with the proximity evidence, a dna match from his descendant identifies his place in this family.

    James married Mary Jane Page. Mary (daughter of Abednego Page and Living) was born 7 Apr 1834, New Cumberland Tuscarawas, Ohio; died 11 Mar 1905, Dennison, Tuscarawas, Ohio; was buried , Quasqueton Cemetery Quasqueton Buchanan County Iowa. [Group Sheet]

    BUCHANAN CO. IOWA
    16 Mar 1905

    After a long illness from paralysis, Mrs, Jane Reynolds died at her home, 1 mile west of Quasqueton, Saturday March 11, 1905 at 8 a.m. Jane Page was born in Ohio in 1834 and was married there to J. W. McQueen in 1850. After the death of her first husband she was married to W. Reynolds, who died in 1880. They were the parents of five sons, all surviving. They are M. S. Reynolds of Independence; W. B. and F. S. of Pine Creek; W. S. of Chicago and C. W. who has always lived at home. Mrs Reynolds came to Iowa in 1862. she was a devoted Christian mother and will be greatly missed by her friends and relatives. The sympathy of their many friends is extended to the sons in their sorrow. The funeral was held at the Congregational church Monday at 1:30 p.m. and there was a large attendance. Rev Richardson conducted the last services. Nice flowers covered the casket. The six sons acted as body bearers and the remains were interred in this cemetery.
