    Mrs. Mary Williamson Allen, 78, highly respected woman, formerly of Martinsville, but for the past two years residing with a daughter at Bedford, passed away Sunday afternoon, following a lingering illness.
    The remains were brought to Martinsville Monday morning where funeral services were held at the Broad Street Christian Church. Burial followed in the family burial plot in Oakwood Cemetery.
    Surviving are three sons, Messrs. William, Chappie and Jason Williamson, and one daughter, Mrs. W. L. Lyle.

    Mary married Obadiah Meredith Allen 19 Apr 1914, Henry County, Virginia. Obadiah (son of Jones Allen and Susan Frances Minter) was born 6 Jun 1840, Henry Co., Virginia; died 21 Dec 1926, Franklin County, Virginia; was buried , Oakwood Cemetery, Martinsville, Virginia. [Group Sheet]
