    In 1841, Leonard K. Barber, of Woodsille, Mississippi, gave to
    George W. Reynolds, of Maumee City, Power of atttorney "to
    erect a Custom and I'loaring-Mill and Saw-Mill in Maumee
    City," the former with two to fotir runs of stones, and the
    latter with one saw; and to conduct the operations and business of the same, when constructed. In June, 1842, the firm of S. AV. Waters (Steiihen W. Waters and L. K. Barlier), conferred upon Mr. Reynolds like authority.

    Buried with Brother Amos Reynolds and Laura Lucy Page, wife of George W. Reynolds.


    Died:
    At the age of 88, Mr. George W. Reynolds penned this sketch in Houston Texas, where he lived and entered the real estate business.

    27 Sep 1867 Geo. W. Reynolds presented for probate the last will and testament of Amos Reynolds, late of said county. [Lucas Co., Will Records, Vol 4-5, 1867-1872]

    Amos is found in the 1860 Lucas Co. Ohio [Maumee] Census with Louisa Reed (2nd wife) and Almira Reed 29.

    Died:
    Amos moved to Maume Co., Ohio in 1840, when blindness led him to sell his farm to son, Charles. His future daughter-in-law, Almira Reed is also found on this census record in 1850; her mother will be his next wife.

    Amos married Laura [VT] Kellogg 20 Mar 1808, Winifield, Herkimer Co., NY . Laura (daughter of Martin Kellogg and Lucy Seymour) was born 11 Dec 1786, Hartford, Connecticut; died 27 Sep 1853, Maumee City, Ohio. [Group Sheet]
