    Richard Cole Jr. purchased the Tavern called Lee's Tavern, 12 Dec 1812 and renamed the Tavern, Blackhorse Inn. He was probably born in Culpepper Co., VA where his relatives are found.

    Notes:

    Ailsey Cole Lindsay is the great grandmother of Alexander Franklin James, Robert R. James, Jesse Woodson James, and Susan Lavenia James.

    Ailsey Cole Lindsay was the daughter of Richard Cole and Ann Hubbard. Richard Cole was born in Pennsylvania and became one of the early settlers of Fayette County, Ky. in 1786.

    Ailsey Cole married Anthony Lindsay in Woodford County, Kentucky in 1788 and settled what was know as Lindsay's Station, which is marked by the Kentucky Historical Society with a bronze plaque.

    Ailsey and Anthony were the parents of eleven children.
