Happy New Year to you too. Who is this Betty Ann Grant? I knew Mable W. Merricks. Wes and I are good friends with her son Trent. That is John Levy Reynolds in the picture. Homer Reynolds is the one who was married to Callie Ark Reynolds. They had a shotgun wedding with my grandpa Charlie behind the gun. Rosco Reynolds was the result of that marriage. Homer went into the Army immediately after the wedding . He went to NY where he came down with the flu and died.

I knew some of the men in the picture. I remember Jabe Wells and one of my favorite people was Frank Fuller. He was our mail carrier for years, He had lunch at Grady store with daddy every day. I was always there in the summer. He had his wife, Nancy, a teacher at Callands , buy me a beautiful blue dress with a big white color with blue buttons on it for my 10th birthday. She or someone wrapped it up with a beautiful ribbon and he brought it to the store and gave it to me. It was such a suprise He was a sweet man. He and his wife only had one son and they didn't mix with the rest of the people in the neighborhood. I think that was his wife's doings. They lived in the house just up the road on the other side of the road from Jims store. It was a nicer house than any other around there. It also had a bathroom. Every body else around there had a johnny house. I used their gully as my shopping store for my playhouse because Nancy used a lot of creams and perfumes and things that came in pretty bottles.
