    Name:

    The birth of a daughter named Susannah to Joseph Evans and Susannah Lacy on 23 Feb 1749 was recorded by Douglas in the St. James Parish Register on page 40. The LWT of Joseph Evans [GDB 13/200] was signed 28 Dec 1781 and proved 20 May 1782 in Goochland Co., Va. This will recites in part "Item. I lend to my daughter Susannah Carter one negro fellow named Ben, one feather bed and furniture during her life and at her death to be equally divided among her children to them and to their heirs forever." Executors named were Matthew Woodson and son Thomas Evans.

    Susannah married Robert Perry of Henrico Carter. Robert (son of Povall Carter and Amy/Amey Porter) was born Abt 1746, Henrico Co., Virginia; died Bef 17 Oct 1803, Goochland County, Virginia. [Group Sheet]
