      William of Ireland was born near Lancaster in 17__. He was the son of William Reynolds, a Protestant Irishman, who came to America in 1762 and who was in the "Flying Camp" in 1776. In 1778 he married Catherine Ferree LeFevre, great granddaughter of Mary Ferree, a French Huguenot, who had come from the Rhine Provinces and whose ancestors settled in Lancaster County in 1711.
