Richard Cocke3, of Bremo, born 1672; died 1720 married first Anne Bowler; 2nd wife unknown. Anne Bowler was the d/o Thomas Bowler( of the county of Rappahannock (now Essex and Richmond); member of the Governor's Council in 1670. She was born in 1695, and died in 1705. [How could she have 3 children at age 10; this must be a mistake] There appear to be three children by this marriage, one of them Bowler Cocke of Bremo. Among the children of the second marriage was Richard4, the ancestor of Col. Richard Cocke4, of Bacon's Castle, of Hartwell Cocke5, General John Hartwell Cocke7 & c.
