    Notes:

    Carroll E. Reynolds, Sr., 86, of Christiana, passed away peacefully after a short illness, at Christiana Hospital, on Wednesday June 15th, 2016.

    Born in Northeast, MD, Carroll was the son of the late Helen and Melvin Reynolds. While working for Chrysler, he met and married his wife of 65 years, Beatrice (Crossan). Shortly afterwards, he was drafted to serve his country for 2 years in the US Army.

    After being honorably discharged, Carroll went in to retail, but found his calling in the hardware business where he enjoyed helping do-it-yourselfers with their home repairs, yard supplies and other such needs. During this time he purchased and operated Haverback Hardware, and later opened Reynolds Window and Screen Repairs, which he operated right up to his passing.

    Carroll and Bea enjoyed traveling the country in their camper, he enjoyed singing in the church choir, but he especially enjoyed eating out.

    Carroll was predeceased by his older brother Edward, and his older sisters Helen E and Grace. He is survived by his youngest sister Sherry (John), as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Bea, he is survived by his children Linda (Steve), Melvin (Joanne), David (Michelle), Carroll, Jr. (Pat), and Marie (Dan). Adding to the joy in his life are his 7 grandchildren Jon (Lisa), Ashley (Seth), Jeffrey, Allison, Heather, Michelle (Christopher) and Julie (James), and 6 great-grandchildren Wesley, Nora, Declan, Colleen, Brian and Robert.

    He will be dearly missed by his many family and friends.

    E. Sherry Jackson, 88, of Port Deposit, MD, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019 in Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born June 2, 1931 in North East, MD, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Lloyd and Helen Elsie Lockard Reynolds.
    Sherry is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, John H. Jackson, of Port Deposit, MD; and son, Brian K. Jackson, of Rising Sun, MD. Sherry was affiliated with the North East United Methodist Church, the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, and the Perryville United Methodist Church.
    Sherry was a graduate of the North East High School, North East, MD, and had been employed by the former Bainbridge Naval Training Center in their Public Works Division during the 1950's. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels and the Ray of Hope Mission. For many years, Sherry served as Secretary/Treasurer of the Hopewell Cemetery Association.
    In addition to her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by her brothers: Carrol Eugene Reynolds, Edward Charles Reynolds; and sisters: Helen Emma Goodnow and Grace Emily Reynolds.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the Ray of Hope Mission or the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766.
    Graveside services are scheduled for Wednesday, June 26, 12 Noon, at the Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1811 Hopewell Road, Port Deposit, MD. Rev. Ray Graham of the Perryville United Methodist Church will officiate.
