John Hobson Stamps was born 9 Dec 1812, Pittsylvania County, Virginia; died 23 Sep 1891, Colloway, Kentucky; was buried , Wall Cemetery, Calloway, Kentucky.

Notes:

John Hopson Stamps, born Dec 9, 1812 in Pittsylvania Co., VA.; died Sept. 23, 1891. He married Mary Katherine Wall on Dec 23, 1835 at Cadiz, Kentucky. She was born Nov 8, 1819 in Montgomery Co., Tenn., to Benjamin Braxton Wall and Dinny Faulkner. (Braxton?s genealogy follows in a few pages.) Dinny died Jan. 18, 1893. The Stamps lived in Cadiz as late as April 1841. There is record of a John H. Stamps in the 1840 Census, Trig Co., KY.

They returned to Pittsylvania Co., VA.
