    Dorothy Futty Reynolds age 88 of North East, Maryland, passed away Monday, September 13, 2004, at Calvert Manor Healthcare Center, Rising Sun, Maryland. Born in Elk Neck, Maryland, on September 30, 1915, she was a daughter of the late John & Lydia Arrants Futty. She was a lifelong resident of Cecil County, Maryland. Mrs. Reynolds along with her husband, owned and operated Vernon A. Reynolds Hauling & Excavating for 50 years. She drove a dump truck for many years, and still had her CDL license at the time of her death. She was a member of the All Seasons Garden Club, North East Homemakers, Women's Civic League, Cecil County Hunters Association, The Upper Bay Museum, Brandywine Region Antique Auto Club of America where one of their antique cars was on display at the New York World's Fair. She was active in decoy shows, and for many years she volunteered as a secretary for the North East Chamber of Commerce. She enjoyed crafts, refurbishing furniture, collecting antiques, talking about the history of Cecil County, flower arranging, reading, traveling to the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Reynolds was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon A. "Curley" Reynolds, who died November 25, 1992. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie R. Lincoln, North East, Maryland; granddaughter, Lisa Stepler and her husband, Donald, North East, Maryland; grandson, Steven Potter, North East, Maryland; sisters, Anne Futty, Elkton, Maryland; and Jane Wood, North East, Maryland. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Reynolds was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles, and John C. "Jack" Futty, and a sister, Kathryn Gordner. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 18, 2004, at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, Maryland. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, September 17, 2004, where family and friends are invited to visit at the funeral home. Interment will follow services in Hart's Cemetery, Elk Neck, Maryland. Mrs. Reynolds enjoyed flowers or memorial contributions may be made to Hart's Cemetery, c/o, Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, Maryland 21901.
