    REYNOLDS Comander time out

[Commander Hugh Reynolds; another line of investigation for the progenitor of the Hugh Reynolds lines of Lancaster, PA, Iredale, NC, Pittsylvania, VA and elsewhere with 37 marker DNA matches]

Hugh Reynolds of Iredell North Carolina is proven by dna to have been related to Hugh Reynolds of Pittsylvania Co., Virginia. Records located in the diaries of Rev. John Cuthbertson identify Hugh Reynolds and Margaret [Divin] and a certain George Reynolds, births of son and daughter (twins) 1751 4 Dec named John and Elizabeth. The only other Reynolds identified in this register; believe to have been related. No record for the marriage of George is found in these records. Perhaps George is a brother of Hugh; they are having children within 9 years of one-another. Also probably connected to this family is John, James and Hugh Reynolds, named in the Will of William Reynolds in Cecil Co., Maryland and Lancaster, PA. Hugh Reynolds of Iredale may be the Hugh Reynolds named in this will of William Reynolds. These individuals from the Eastern Shore.

Hugh married Jane Reid Watt 24 Oct 1833, Statesville, North Carolina. Jane was born 24 Jul 1807, North Carolina; died 11 Oct 1887, Iredell Co., North Carollina; was buried , Old Fourth Creek Cemetery, Statesville, NC. [Group Sheet]
