Age 100
Elise Wells Caldwell, age 100, passed away on January 19, 2018, at her home at Greenspring Village in Springfield, Virginia.
Born in Callands, Virginia on December 22, 1917, Elise was the
youngest of eleven children born to Charles Wesley Wells and Ida Hankins Wells.
Elise was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, John A. Caldwell, her parents, and her ten siblings. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Alexandria for 65 years.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, James W. and Loretta M. Caldwell; three grandsons, Brian (Elizabeth), Keith and Michael Caldwell; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial service and inurnment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
