Catherine Carter was born 1 Jan 1766, Brunswick Co., Virginia; died 1 Jun 1832, Marietta, Cobb Co., Georgia.

Notes:

Abner Farrar is the 2nd husband of Catherine Carter. Catherine is the d/o George Carter and Lucy Marshall. George Carter b 1737 in Brunswick Co., VA died about 1771/7 in Brunswick. He married Lucy Marshall, d/o John Marshall and Mary Malone, in abt 1760.

Specific bequests to each of those named.
Executors: Sons Samuel and James Marshall
Witnesses: John Arnold, William Pegram and Elisha Arnold
Will dated July 17, 1782. Recorded Nov. 14, 1785.

Catherine at age 20, married Richard Stone Arrington on the day after Christmas in 1786 at St. Andrew's Parish, Brunswick Co. Virginia. Catherine and Richard had one son, Richard Stone Arrington, Jr. born in 1789. After her first husbands death Catherine, age 25, married Abner Farrar 23, son of Thomas Farrar and Elizabeth Howard, on December 19, 1791 in Halifax Co. Virginia.

Catherine married Abner Farrar 19 Dec 1791, Halifax Co., Virginia. Abner (son of Thomas Farrar and Elizabeth Howard) was born 16 Sep 1768, Mecklenburg Co., Virginia; died 27 Mar 1841, Marietta, Cobb Co., Georgia. [Group Sheet]
