    Notes:

    Mrs. Edith Jefferson Nester of 657 Chatmoss Court Extension, Martinsville, VA went to be with her Lord at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County.

    She was born in Callands, VA to the late Wade Keene Jefferson and the late Maude Wells Jefferson. She graduated from Callands High School and retired from the DuPont Company with 25 years service.

    She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Collinsville and the Golden Circle Sunday School class.

    Her husband, Lloyd Alvin Nester, died in 1994.

    Surviving are three daughters, Patricia Nester Pegram and Shelby Jean Nester Richardson, both of Martinsville and Mrs. Mike (Jo) Reedy of Roanoke, VA, one sister, Bernice Jefferson Ponton of Martinsville, a brother Bill Jefferson of Rocky Mount, NC, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

    The funeral was conducted at McKee-Stone Funeral Services chapel. Dr. Calvin Rains officiated.

    Burial was in Roselawn Burial Park in Martinsville.
