    JANE FISHER: Miss Jane Fisher whose death at an advanced aged, as well as the longevity of her family have been noticed recently in these columns, was one of a family of a gentleman who at the time of his death was one of the most remarkable men of his vicinity. Mr. Fisher died in his 99th year, and what is very unusual had cut his third set of teeth. While he was cutting the third set, he used to say that he very readily understood why children were cross and irritable during their cutting, as they were very painful and continuously so. Mr. Fisher?s eye sight was so good at 98 years of age that he could readily read the tiniest print without glasses. Earlier in his life he had used spectacles but having regained his second sight he abandoned their use habitually. He was a man of amiability and uniform disposition. His daughter Miss Maggie who is in her 90th year, is a lady so vivacious and sprightly in conversation, that one hearing her talk would take her to be a woman of 30 instead of 90 years. A correspondent writes us that their home is a very interesting place to visit. Their ancestors were Scotch people, and they are the descendants of Scotch covenanters. Their cousin Miss Mary Kaziah Fisher resides with them. They have several pieces of rare furniture in their home one of which is a bard wood secretary of antique design which is over one hundred and forty years old. It is without a scratch, and has been so carefully preserved that it looks as though it had just come from the Furniture polishers. The old ladies have always had a passion for flowers which they have successfully cultivated, and although they are not people of means, they have ample funds in Bank for all necessary comforts. The young folks and children in the neighborhood are very fond of visiting the old ladies, and their circle of friends is very large. Col. Egenton Hogg who recently purchased the property in which they live paid them double its value, and expressly stipulated that they should remain in their home rent free as long as they live. They share the esteem of their community in an unusual degree, Miss Jane Fishers recent funeral having been unusually large. They are an interesting family, refined, and great readers.     Anna Maria Devonshire

    At the Chester County Hospital, yesterday, Anna Maria Devonshire, wife of Samuel T. Devonshire, died of Bright's disease, at the age of 69 years. The family has lived for some time in a small house on the south side of the Paoli road, beyond Goshenville. A son, Elmer, lives on West Union street, this place, and holds a position in the West Chester Steam Laundry.

    DEVONSHIRE- In West Chester, on August 6, 1908, Anna Maria, wife of Samuel T. Devonshire, 122 West Union street, on Monday, August 10th. Meet at the house at 2 o'clock p.m. Interment at Greenmount cemetery.

    Yesterday Elmer G. Devonshire, a resident near Lenape, died at the Chester County Hospital, aged about forty-seven years. The deceased was taken ill with typhoid fever some time since, and was brought to the above named institution for treatment about ten days ago, but grew worse, and the end came yesterday.

    Mr. Devonshire was a native of Cecil County, Md, but came to West Chester a number of years since, and for a considerable tie was employed at the West Chester Steam Laundry and resided with his family in this place. Of late years he has held a responsible position at the Brandywine Meadow Stock Farms of Charles E. Mather, in Birmingham township.

    The deceased is survived by a widow and two sons, besides other relatives, some residing in West Chester. He was a member of Brandywine Council, No. 758 Independent Order of Americans.

    Mr. Devonshire was a quiet, industrious man, attended to his duties, and devoted to his family. He had a number of warm friends besides to mourn his loss. The funeral services will be held at the home of a brother-in-law, J.T. McClintock, No. 218, North Franklin street, West Chester, where the remains can be viewed.

    DEVONSHIRE- In West Chester, on September 22, 1914, Elmer G. Devonshire, in the 48th year of his age.

    Mrs. Margaret J. McClintock, wife of James T. McClintock, a resident of West Chester for many years, died suddenly yesterday at Chester County Hospital. She was in her 82d year.

    Born in Cecil county, Maryland, the deceased was the daughter of the late Samuel and Maria Devonshire.

    Besides her husband, she is survived by the following children: Emma, wife of Arthur Watson, West Chester; Carrie, wife of the late Walter T. Anderson, Romansville; Robert E. Simpson, Wilmington, Del.; Violet G., wife of Robert Bonsall, Kennett Square; Roland and David McClintock, both of West Chester; Beatrice, wife of Frank Williams and Arthur McClintock, of Baltimore, Md.

    There are 22 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

    McCLINTOCK- In West Chester, on Sept. 16, 1955, Margaret J., wife of James McClintock, in the 82nd year of her age.

    Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral without further notice from the Hicks Funeral Home, 229 S. High St., West Chester, on Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 2 p.m.

    Interment in Green Mount Cemetery. Friends may call Monday evening.

    Millard was very hard to locate. Debbie Reynolds and myself have looked for him for well over 12 years. We knew he didn't die in Maryland or Delaware. Lost track of him after his run-in with the law in West Chester, Pennsylvania. My Aunt Betty said that the last time she heard from him was the mid 1930's when he was living in a flop house in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Well she was right. After searching I found him thru Ancestry when they put their deaths on line from 1906-1963...Yipeeeeeeeee. He was married the entire time of his life to Hannah Elizabeth Baker who had to raise their children after he ran off.
