    Dailey School 1919

    This old picture is of the Dailey School, which was
    originally located adjoining the J. H. Dailey Farm 1.5
    miles west of Blanch [Caswell County, North Carolina]. The
    picture was take in 1919. Those shown in the picture are
    (front row, left to right) Ruth Hyler, Garnet Powell, Ralph
    Harrison, Frank Powell, Jeanette Harrelson Mobley
    (deceased), Ardie Hyler, John Harrelson, and Charlie Hyler.

    Second row: Fannie Harrelson, James Watkins, Evelyn Bradner
    Moorefield, Rebecca Moore (deceased), and Claude Hyler.

    In the rear is Miss Fannie Sue Wilson, teacher.

    The old picture was contributed by Mr. I. G. Dailey of
    Blanch, who also presented a letter dated February 17,
    1919, which wa written to Miss Wilson from M. J. H. Dailey,
    member of the school committee. The letter is as follows:
    "Dear Miss Wilson, I saw Mr. Watkins this morning and he
    said the thought you would take this school. If you will
    take it, we would be glad to have you teach for us. Signed,
    J. H. Dailey."
