Thomas Whitlock Will drawn 17 Dec 1779 and Proved 15 Jun 1780 named wife as Elizabeth Whitlock and sons John and Thomas and 5 daughters, 4 of whom are married. These children are all 'of age', presumed to be 21. This then is Thomas Senior who married Elizabeth Dupree. His named son, Thomas is then the husband of Judith Carter, daughter of John and Mary Cunningham Carter, proven by the 1825 Chancery Suit regarding the heirs of Theo Carter.

Thomas Lipscomb father of John Lipscomb who married Dicey Scott( dau of John Scott and Dicey Moon). John Lipscomb died early - it is said to be from a balcony of a house. Dicey married 2nd to a Daniel Collins. Children of Dicey Scott and John Lipsomb were: William who married Anna Norwood, John Lipsomb, and Thomas Jefferson Lipscomb. Clement Lipscomb married Sarah B. Edwards on Dec. 23, 1811, Halifax Co., Va. Her nickname was "Sally"; she was living near Milton, Caswell Co., N. C., aft. 1812, and is shown living in Halifax Co., Va. in the 1850 Census. She died June 16, 1869, Halifax Co., Va. Her father, John Edwards, in Dec. 1848, "John Edwards, Sr. left 1/3 of estate to daughter, Sarah B. Lipscombe." This marriage, which occurred on Dec. 23, 1811, Halifax Co., Va., is also shown in the book, "LIPSCOMB 300 YEARS IN AMERICA." Also, Gilley W. Lipscomb and John J.
