    Betty Ann McGowan, 86, of Princeton, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Gibson General Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility in Princeton.

    She was born January 5, 1928 in Princeton to James Devin Davis and Versa Marie (Bruce) McClure.

    She attended the Aldredge Baptist Church when she lived in Tennessee.

    She was a life member of Princeton VFW Post #1147, Oakland City American Legion and the Oakland City Eagles.

    She is survived by her 5 daughters, Sandra (Jay) Robison of Haubstadt, Cathy (Ronnie) Sims of Newbern, TN, Treecia McGowan of Princeton, Faye (Gary) Dorris of Princeton and Tomi Su Jones of Oakland City; 5 sons, David (Pat) McGowan of Henderson, NV, Charles (Vickie) McGowan of Francisco, Dale McGowan of Tanaskit, WA, Dean (Beth) McGowan of Mackey and Marlin (Pam) McGowan of Woolmarket, MS; 44 grandchildren; 89 Great Grandchildren; 10 Great-Great Grandchildren; sister, Mickey McClure Eckiss of Carmi, IL; son-in-law, Jerry Lamey of Evansville; daughter-in-law, Gail McGowan of Newbern, TN; sister-in-law, Evelyn McClure of Princeton; and several nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Wanda Jo McGowan and Helen Lamey; son, Virgil McGowan; brother, William McClure; and a brother-in-law, Bobby Eckiss.

    Graveside Services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Bethel-David Smith Cemetery east of Owensville, with Rev. Gene Burkhart officiating. Burial will follow. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. Colvin Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.

    Memorial Contributions may be made to Gibson General Health Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the Colvin Funeral Home.
