    FORMER EMPORIAN DEAD

    Word was received in Emporia this morning of the death of Mrs. C. W. Hurst, formerly of Emporia, at Iowa Falls, Iowa. She had been sick several weeks. The body will be brought to Emporia, arriving at 12:45 o'clock Monday afternoon, and will be taken to the Maplewood cemetery for burial. Rev. C. L. Hovgard will conduct services. The Eastern Star lodge will have charge of the services.

    Mr. and Mrs. Hurst formerly lived at 526 Neosho. Mr. Hurst was an engineer on the Santa Fe. Surviving Mrs. Hurst is her husband, C. W. Hurst, of Liberal, and one son, Leonard, of Portland, Ore.
