    Obadiah W. Michaux, born 14 August 1785 (date from Rev. Michaux Raine) is shown to be the son of Joseph Michaux and Judith Woodson in The Huguenot Abraham Michaux and Descendants by J. D. Eggleston published in Genealogies of Virginia Families from The Virginia Magazine of History and Biography.It goes on to say he married "Unknown" and had three sons and three daughters.In a letter from Quincy, Florida, written 20 November 1838 to his brother Jesse, he stated that his eldest daughter Judith had died "about a year ago and left two children", having been married three years.Three sons were Joseph and John, both of whom died in Florida, and William, who died in Texas leaving issue.It is probable that he had a daughter Narcissa, who married William Macon Michaux, q. v.
