At his residence in Rockingham County, on the 13, ultimo, Mr. John Morehead, Sen. a worthy and pious man, and a soldier of the Revolution. His end affords a bright triumph to the Redeemers cause. Altho' this veteran follower of Christ, was afflicted most intensely for weeks before his death--yet his patience and fortitude never flagged for a moment.. He regularly kept up the observance of family duty to the last and finally quited this mortal scene, full of hope and exaultation. Mr. Morehead was the father of a large family, who he had assiduously endeavored to prepare for their course in life, with moral and literary instruction and had the dying satisfaction of witnessing the eniment success of this preparation.
