He then moved to Lawrence County, Alabama, where he resided until 1827, when he moved to Rockingham County, NC. near his childhood home. Two children, Elizabeth and Martha died in childhood. Pryor lived near the town of Draper, where he died 5 Oct 1858. He was buried in the family graveyard, alongside his wife Prudence. Pryor's name is (Catherine Pryor) his grandmother's maiden name.

      They had a son named Samuel Morehead Reynolds, Jr.
      He was born 11 Sept. 1859. I don't know why he wasn't listed on the 1860 Census above ?
      They also had a daughter named Alma Louise Reynolds who was born 22 Sept. 1861 and died 11 Mar. 1951.
      She married William Henry Dorman. She is buried at Englewood Cemetery in Clinton, Henry County, Missouri
      Samuel enlisted in the Confederate Army in Henry County, Missouri. He was in Cockrells' Company (CO D) and died at the Battle of Lone Jack, MO. on Aug.16th 1862.
      He is buried in the Soldiers' Cemetery on the Lone Jack Battlefield in the Confederate Trench along with others who died in this battle.
      Lone Jack is in Jackson County about 12 miles from Independence, Missouri
