DANVILLE REGISTER & BEE 15 Oct 2011 Maude Holley Maude Wright Holley Maude Wright Holley, 88, of 1489 Maple Road, Callands, VA died Friday, October 14,2011 at her residence. Born February 14, 1923 in Callands, she was the daughterof the late Charlie M. Wright and the late Nannie Celestia Martin Wright. She was a faithful Christian, a loving wife, an excellent mother, adoring grandmother and great-grandmother and a devoted sister. Mrs. Holley was very active at County Line Christian Church as long as her health allowed. She will be remembered for providing love and unending care for others. A homemaker, shewas married on June 5, 1945 to Irvin Bell Holley who preceded her in death March 19, 2011. Mrs. Holley is survived by her daughters, Jean H. Stone of Callands,Nancy H. Taylor of Danville and Mary Gail H. Walton and husband, Eddie ofRockville. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer S. Fennell (Shawn), Jarrett T. Stone, Meredith T. Moore (Todd), Natalie T. Sigmon (Bland)and Connor M. Walton, her great-grand children, Tyler C. Fennell, Cailyn M.Fennell, Cole T. Fennell, Matthew T. Stone, Ian M. Sigmon, and Breann V.Sigmon, her brothers, Andrew H. Wright of Martinsville and C. Cooper Wright of Birmingham, AL. She is also survived by her best friend, Greta Lipford. In addition to her husband and her parents, Mrs. Holley was predeceased by a daughter, Janice Marie Holley; a son-in-law, Mac Taylor; her sister, Mary W.Payne and her brothers, Leonard A. Wright, George W. Wright, Clarence A. Wright and Jesse L. Wright. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at 3:30 p.m. at County Line Christian Church, 12711 Chatham Road, Axton, VA with Minister Dean Ashby officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and at other times will be at the residence. The family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to the County Line Christian Church Building Fund, 12711 Chatham Road, Axton, VA 24054 or the Callands Volunteer Fire Dept, 11741 Callands, Road, Callands, VA 24530.
