DEYERLE, Ruby Wells, 93, of Sandston, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl "Slim"; and her two grandsons, Joseph Scott Collie and Barry Wade Fisher. She is survived by her two daughters, Sue Deyerle Collie and Dottie Layne and husband, Allen; one granddaughter, Marsha Cumbo and husband, Dave, of Danville, Va.; four great-grandchildren, Brianna and Gabrielle Fisher and their mother, Susan, of Mechanicsville, Olivia and Jay Cumbo of Danville; one sister, Elsie Caldwell and husband, John, of Springfield, Va.; two sisters-in-law, Lucille Bush and Janey Tingen; numerous nieces, nephews and neighbors and a host of beloved friends from Elko Union Church. The family will receive friends at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, and where services will be held 12 noon Wednesday, February 13. Interment Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Elko Union Church Building Fund or Henrico Volunteer Rescue Squad.
