He was a member of Christian Tabernacle Church in Callands, VA, a member of the Virginia National Guard and the former owner and operator of Triangle Billards in Richmond, VA. Survivors include his wife of 23 years Linda Cox of Midlothian, sons Eugene Herman Wells, Jr of Mechanicsville, VA and Gerald Wayne Wells of Richmond, six grandchildren, Valarie, Christie, Michael, Jennifer, Jason and Robert, seven great grandchildren Tierra, Curtis, Amber, Jason Jr, Stephen, Ashley and Chore and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving are two sisters Elizabeth Wells Stanford of Martinsville, VA and Frances Wells Mills of Danville, VA. Mr. Wells was also predeceased by four brothers and four sisters. Special thanks to Judy Brady, Tammie Mulligan, Patricia Patton, Valarie and Ethan Lingerfelt and Fellowship Baptist Church in Spotsylvania, VA. Funeral services where held at Fellowship Baptist Church with Reverend Steve Smith and Reverend Bruce Proctor officiating. Burial was in the Fellowship Baptist Church cemetery.
