      to me, Raymond, wht3

      Cousin Mary Frances

Was Aunt Mattie Edwards Carter your grandmother? My grandmother was Elizabeth Patience Edwards Hurt, her sister. They were daughters of Addison Lafayette Edwards. I am glad to make contact with you Cousin Mary Frances. I have met James C. Moses, Class of 1954 at Randolph-Macon College. I am a member of the Class of 1952 at R-MC. I met him about 10 years ago at R-MC and he was living in Richmond. He advised me that he had sold the Moses Insurance Agency in Danville. I told him that his grandmother was my grandmother?s sister. He appeared to have no interest in the Edwards connection. I look forward to talking to you and my favorite Cousin Ray Ryan about the Edwards and Boley Families.

It is a pleasure to meet you Mary Frances.

Bessie Edwards was a spinster who lived with her relatives and helped raise her children and is buried in the Powell Family Plot at Green Hill Cemetery.
Ancestry shows her name as Elizabeth Patience; I have never heard her name other than Bessie, but indeed she could have been named for Elizabeth Patience Turner CARTER, m/o George Turner Carter whose families intermarried.
