      Mr. Bobby Spencer Coward, 71, of 508 Ingram Street, Danville, died at his residence on Sunday, March 16, 2014. Born in Danville on December 3, 1942, he was the son of the late Fred Coward and Ella Merricks Coward. He had worked for Dan River, Inc. in the maintainance department.

      Mr. Coward is survived by one son, Robert Coward of Danville; three brothers, Jerry Coward and his wife, Pat, Milton Coward and his wife, Betty, and Maynard Coward, all of Danville. Other survivors include eight nieces and nephews.

      Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Barker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ken Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Barker Chapel on Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
