      Mary Reynolds LaPrade, 90, of 3881 Franklin Tpke, Danville, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008 in University of VA Hospital in Charlottesville and has gone to be with her Lord whom she loved and served faithfully.

      Born Aug. 2, 1917 in Pittsylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Johnny Reynolds and the late Lucy Jones Reynolds. She was predeceased by her husband, the late Eddie B. LaPrade. They were happily married for over 50 years. She retired from Health-Tex after 35 years of service. She owned and operated Mary's Ceramic Shop, where she loved working with ceramics. She was a member of Grace Design United Methodist Church where she was a past Sunday school teacher, taught in vacation Bible school, and was a member of the Friendship Circle.

      She is survived by two sons, Eddie Louis LaPrade and wife, Linda and Jimmie Allen LaPrade, all of Danville. She is also survived by a granddaughter, Mindy Warren and husband, Rob, and a grandson, Eddie LaPrade, II; and four grandchildren, Preston Evans, Reagan Evans, Franklin Warren and Lathan Bondurant LaPrade.

      In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one sister, Madie Dodd and five brothers, Raleigh Reynolds, E. T. Reynolds, Ollie Dean Reynolds, Frank Reynolds, Walter Reynolds and Ray Reynolds.

      Funeral services were held Friday, June 13, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Services Chapel, 3995 Franklin Tpke, Danville, Va. with the Rev. Kathy Gouchenour officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park.
