Sons of Thomas William Wooding and Eliza Archer Crews of Meadowood. L to R: James Christopher, Josiah Crews, Nathaniel Henry, William Tazewell, Thomas Hill, George Washington, Samuel Tunstall, Robert. Amazingly, six of the sons were in the Civil War and all returned. Supposedly their father gave them each a good riding horse when they went to war. Nathaniel Henry was petitioned by the Chalk Level community to return home because he was too valuable as the local physician. His doctor's office still stands on the property. This picture was taken in front of the kitchen building at Meadowood. Thomas William Wooding was the son of Thomas Hill Wooding of Little Cherrystone.
